  • As the owner of a car dealership, I was looking to have a painting created to reflect the classy and sophisticated designs of our vehicles.  Michele is a new up-and-coming artist and I had seen some of her paintings and it was clear she had a talent that she had recently discovered, especially when creating texture and bringing vivid colours to her works.   I shared my vision with Michele, however ultimately let her come up with the design.  Michele did not disappoint as her painting was exactly as I had imagined. The way she used texture to “lift” the rings off the canvas, as well as her ability to create the 3-dimensional illusion with the right shades of paint was exceptional. The rings seemed to just “jump” off the canvas. The vibrant, yet simplistic background of the painting complimented and allowed the rings to be the focal point.  Michele created a piece of work I am proud to display and captured the true essence of my vision.

  • Michele is a brilliant artist and an authentic soul. She asked me to meet her to talk about a volunteer fundraising ideas she had that could benefit CUPS Calgary, who helped the most vulnerable in our city. The fundraising idea turned out to be a brilliant picture of a blue bear on a Porsche Hood. Did I also mention she is incredibly creative, innovative, and generous? This fundraiser not only served to demonstrate her vast artistic abilities, but brought to this event her blue bear who was so relatable to all ages in terms of him growing to understand his own differences and accepting the uniqueness in them. That resonated to so many people at the event and post event. Michele is again a brilliant artist, but also carries that authenticity into her work, her relationship building skills and her commitment to the betterment of our community. Through this event, I found a friend in Michele and I value her journey, her creativity and her honesty. This event has greatly benefit the folks that come into CUPS, and her participation with the families that come into CUPS was so very meaningful for them. Thank you, Michele for not only teaching us about art, but how art can benefit humanity.

  • I am an interior designer and was looking for some artwork to hang in a new show home that I was designing.  I had seen a picture of a painting Michele posted on her Instagram and was impressed by what I saw.  Not realizing that was only the first painting she had done, I reached out to her and asked if she could do something for the show home.  Michele hesitated as this was new to her but she took on the challenge. I absolutely loved the abstract painting duo she created. Pictures do not truly reflect her unique ability to use texture to give the painting dimension and interest. The vibrant colour and flow were exactly what I was looking for to compliment my design.  Michele’s artistic future is bright,  as Michele continues to explore her newfound talent. I would highly recommend Michele as an artist and look forward to seeing what her future works look like.

  • Working with Michele Doucette was an absolute delight and she is an absolute delight. Michele's generosity with her time and her boundless energy are truly incredible. From the moment I reached out to her to collaborate on a corporate charity fundraiser event that I was working on, she immediately said “Yes, let’s do it!”. She brought a vibrant presence to our collaboration, making every moment enjoyable and productive. Michele's commitment to our shared mission of supporting the community was evident in her willingness to go far above and beyond to help. Her passion, dedication and creativity are truly inspiring, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and community-focused artist.

  • We are a Flooring Distributor and went through a major renovation of our Calgary showroom and wanted to finish it off with a few art pieces.  We were working with a designer and I happened to stumble across a video on social media where Michele was telling her story, it inspired me so I went in to look at her pieces.  To my surprise I was instantly drawn to the Bears she was working with and so I sent an E Intro between Michele and my designer Lori Lee from Red Door Renovations.  They met that day and hit it off well, and Lori was as inspired by the art pieces as I was.  It also fits in with our goal as a Western Canadian-based Private company to support locals and everything just lined up perfectly.  Without being asked Michele included a very professional QR code next to each of the Pictures that she hung up in our Front Lobby and Showroom, to learn more about “About the Artist” which was perfect.  We had over 150 people come through our showroom in the first week we were open and many commented on the pieces and how inspiring and true to life they were with amazing texture and depth in the details of the fur, and the Blue Color of the bears just fit perfectly with our Blue Cabinets in our reno, and it was all by chance.  We have since purchased 2 more pieces and I am looking so forward to the Gord Downie “Tragically Hip’ inspired bear that Michele is currently working on for us to round off our collection.  Michele is amazing to work with and just gets us from a non-art person and takes our thoughts and desires and creates the perfect piece and makes it so easy, I highly suggest and recommend her for any art pieces you may need. Thanks.

  • Michele’s story is truly inspirational as is her skill in expressing emotions and narratives through her paintings.

Michele's ability to breathe life into her art is nothing short of extraordinary. Her paintings are not mere visuals; they are vibrant, emotive experiences. The bold textures create an interplay of light and shadow, coupled with her masterful use of colour. Michele’s paintings captivate the viewer and evoke deep emotional responses.

We are honoured to be the custodians of many of Michele’s exceptional works, to have formed a friendship with such a talented and inspiring artist, and to observe the ongoing development of an extraordinary woman and her art.

  • I absolutely love my new special piece done by Michele Doucette.  I was instantly drawn to it by the feelings of comfort and serenity it created in me.  I like how she called it “Quality Time”.  So suiting! Michele put a little note on the back explaining the name. I think that is a really meaningful thing for the artist to do. I can feel the relationship of the bears and it reminds me of my sons. The texture in the painting, especially in the bears’ fur and rocks, is almost 3D. This piece really makes me feel the wind in my hair and lose my thoughts with them, while staring off into the bluebird sky! Love it!

  • Michele was kind enough to agree to paint a portrait of our new little puppy.  The likeness of his eyes is striking as if he is looking right at you. It's as if the texture of the painting would feel exactly like his fur.

Michele, you are truly talented and we are lucky to have one of your pieces on our wall.  Thank you again for a wonderful piece of art!
